Odd quest hunter Patch#
Initially this quest was incomplete, but the final steps were added in patch 1.04. Patches returns from the Souls games and is up to no good once again. Patches quest steps (updated for patch 1.04) If you never spoke to Yura, you will find it on the underpass at the Murkwater Coast Grace. You can also find Nagakiba in the last place you saw Yura before meeting Shabriri. Defeating them rewards the tear and twinblade. If you started Shabriri’s quest and ended Yura’s before reaching the Second Church of Marika, Bloody Finger Eleonara will invade you there.Help him defeat Bloody Finger Eleonara to earn your rewards. Find Yura again at the Second Church of Marika and speak to him to receive the Nagakiba katana.Find Yura in Raya Lucaria, then use the summon sign on the northern bridge.Be careful not to let Yura die, as this will end his quest. Approach Murkwater Cave to trigger an invasion from Bloody Finger Nerijus.Meeting Shabriri will instantly cancel Yura’s quest, but you can still earn the tear and twinblade. It also rewards a very cool red twinblade for any Darth Maul cosplayers out there. Yura’s quest is a sort of foil to Varre’s and grants a Crystal Tear you can use to counteract Mohg, Lord of Blood’s boss fight mechanics.
Use the summon sign at the Mausoleum Midpoint Grace to summon Varre and defeat him.Reload the area nd speak to him again to get the Pureblood Knight’s Medal, which you can use to teleport to Moghwyn’s Palace. Turn the blood-soaked Favor over to receive a reusable Bloody Finger.Take the Lord of Blood’s Favor to the maiden corpse in the Church of Inhibition.After obtaining your first Great Rune, meet Varre a second time at Rose Church and use the Festering Bloody Finger to invade three players.After visiting the Roundtable Hold for the first time, speak to Varre again.Speak to Varre upon entering Limgrace for the first time.He can also get you to Mohg’s Palace early if you so desire. His quest grants a reusable Bloody Finger for repeated PvP invasions. You may recall him as the fellow who called you maidenless before you’d even gotten your bearings. Varre is the first non-ghost NPC you will meet in Elden Ring. It's not available from the Quest Board, so it's not immediately obvious that it's your primary goal. At this point in the campaign, players should take some time to finish up old Optional quests, expand the canteen, and unlock Mantles, because fighting the Rathalos and Diablos is no easy task.įinding the First Wyverian is certainly an odd task. What follows is a request to hunt two major monsters, the Rathalos, and the mighty Diablos. Once the First Wyverian has been found, the next stage of the campaign will begin. The First Wyverian will be sitting in the tree branches at the top of the Ancient Forest. After the cinematic ends, players can either continue on and hunt the Rathalos or leave the expedition and attempt the hunt later. Reaching the area where the First Wyverian is located will immediately begin a cutscene, so don't worry about trying to look around for it. Before you actually reach the mysterious creature, you'll encounter the monster you will soon need to fight: the Rathalos. It is sitting up in a tree branch in Section 17. There are actually markings and footprints that will lead players to the First Wyverian. The First Wyverian is now located at the top of the Ancient Forest, in Section 17.
In fact, even if players remember where they found it during their time in the forest, they’ll discover it’s moved locations. This quest comes after There are First Wyverian tracks which will lead players to its location.įinding the First Wyverian isn’t straight forward, as there isn’t any immediate marker highlighting its location. Players looking to locate this character will be directed to head to the Ancient Forest, the first area where players cut their teeth capturing monsters. The quest to find the First Wyverian doesn’t appear on the quest board as an Assigned quest, nor an Optional one, it is an expedition that ends in a fight with a Rathalos – so come prepared. As part of the main campaign, players are tasked with going on an expedition to find the First Wyverian and glean some critical knowledge about monsters. The First Wyverians are, as the name suggests, Monster Hunter: World’s first wyverian race in the New World, and as such, hold special significance as well as important information.
